Hoppy Easter Bulletin Board –free printable

I am super excited for this new Easter bulletin board I have created for you and my in-home childcare group! Years ago my youngest sister had a pet bunny and we would take photos with her and the kids for Easter.

Holiday pictures are one of my other favorite things to do around here.

I added a little sign by the children that said Hoppy Easter and it has always remained my favorite Easter saying.

I’m not sure how we’ve already gotten to a couple weeks from Easter. If you enjoy celebrating EVERYTHING…you are about as whipped as I am.

Groundhogs Day, Valentine’s Day, Dr. Seuss’ birthday, Read Across America, St. Patrick’s Day, Easter. Don’t forget Earth Day right around the corner.

Do you need to celebrate ALL the things?

Of course not.

It helps when creating themes though.

And we love an excuse for a party.

How To Get Started

When I think of bulletin boards I generally think of those big fun boards in the classrooms with the fun boarders. At the end of the school year the exposed paper has changed color from the sunlight.

Do you remember that?

I’m getting off topic…

Maybe you don’t have a big beautiful covered board for all the cutsey things. Maybe you have a small part of a wall, a door, a piece of colored poster board.

We can make it work!

For me, that space is the side of a wooden built in cabinet at my daycare entrance in the garage. It’s not very large, quite long so I use my space slightly different.

It’s one of the first things the kids see (and check shortly before a new holiday or season). It has become very important to the kids and hopefully the parents enjoy it too.

Decorating Your Easter Bulletin Board

I find adding an extra that represents each of the kids in my care makes my bulletin boards a little more exciting.

One year that was with a snapchat filter that made it look like the kids were wearing a big bunny suit, this year I found a really cute frame on Canva.com that I will add each of the kids face.

Make sure to check out that tutorial later in this post so you can make that too! There are step-by-step pictures also if you need.

Be sure to download your free printable, it will be sent to the email provided.

  • Print out each page (pages 1 and 2 I made 2 copies)
  • Cut out each element –these are very light colored against the white paper so I’m sorry to your eyes! The bunny in particular is a bit tricky to see.
  • After you’ve cut out each piece laminate them for durability
  • Cut out your laminated pictures and words
  • Decorate your space!

I chose these light pastel colors for my darker wood cabinet, if you have a light colored bulletin board you may want to cover it with something darker first.

How To Incorporate The Kids

Follow along with the photos for a fun way to incorporate the children in your care into your bulletin board creation.

Follow the arrows, they’re either blue or black.

Under the photos will also have instructions!

These instructions assume you have some knowledge of canva.com

Now you can save those images, print and cut them out and add to your cute display.

What Do You Do with Personalized Bulletin Board Pieces

When I go to swap out the Easter Bulletin Board for May flowers…or summer…whatever I’m feeling, I will pack away the pieces with the rest of my bulletin board parts. Somewhere in my office where they will possibly get lost…

The pictures of the children or anything personalized for them I will send home. They love these little pieces.

When to swap out your bulletin board

This part is completely up to you and what you plan to celebrate or feature.

My year looks a little like this:

  • New Years
    • Put up on New Years Eve
  • Valentine’s Day
    • Put up on January 31st

    • Shortly after Easter
